Emmerdale’s Danny Miller has been crowned the winner of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2021. He beat his 11 celebrity campmates after a challenging stay in Gwrych Castle. On Sunday night, presenters Ant and Dec announced him as the new King of the Castle. Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson took the runner-up place, while singer Frankie Bridge came third.

“I can’t believe it!” Danny exclaimed, as Ant and Dec revealed he’d won.

He remarked: “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it. I’m speechless for once.”

When asked what he’d like to say to the viewers that voted for him, Danny said: “From the bottom of my heart and my family’s heart, thank you so much.

“This is just the best thing that has ever happened to me, bar my son, so yeah I can’t believe it,” he commented.

Speaking about his time in the castle Danny said he hoped he’d made his family proud.

Detailing the challenges he and his fellow campmates had undertaken on the show, he said: “We’ve been through so much together that we’ve overcome.”

“I’m proud of myself and I hope my family are proud as well,” Danny added.

Meanwhile, runner-up Simon gushed over his time on the ITV reality show.

Dec said to Simon: “You were just having a lovely time in there weren’t you?”

“You know what? I was having quite a nice time,” Simon remarked.

The Coronation Street star revealed he went into the camp with the aim of just “having a laugh”.

“You’ve just got to get in that zone,” Simon insisted.

Before the winner was announced, the I’m A Celeb finale saw each finalist undertake one last trial.

Danny, Simon and Frankie each had to endure a challenge in order to win their final meal together.

Emmerdale actor Danny was first up and took on a trial called Fill Your Face, which saw him sit in a chair with a large see-through helmet placed on top of his head.

Throughout the challenge a variety of critters were added to the helmet as Danny exclaimed: “This is the worst one you know!”

Simon’s trial was an eating challenge called Frightening Feast, which saw him tuck into pig’s eye, goat tongue, fermented egg, sheep’s penis and more.

Hosts Ant and Dec enjoyed teasing the star, joking he’d have eaten a farmyard by the end and started singing “Steve McDonald ate a farm…”

The final trial, Tomb of Doom, was undertaken by The Saturdays singer Frankie.

She was locked in a tomb for the challenge, where she was joined by a variety snakes.
