The This Morning co-host reminisced over the day he married his wife in June 2010, while also honoured his late sister-in-law, Julia Johnson, who tragically passed away last week.

It was the hottest day of the year , June 26th 2010. We can't celebrate our anniversary today but we can still remember Julia in the best way, as one of our Bridesmaids, smiling, dancing and singing.

He wrote: "It was the hottest day of the year , June 26th 2010. We can't celebrate our anniversary today but we can still remember Julia in the best way, as one of our Bridesmaids, smiling, dancing and singing."

The heartfelt post has attracted a lot of attention, and racked up over 22,000 likes on the online platform.

The couple were flooded with congratulations from celebrity friends.

Former Towie star Mark Wright captioned a string of heart emojis, while Amanda Holden commented: "Happy Anniversary. Sending you both so much love x."

Strictly Come Dancing's Ore Oduba gushed: "Happy memories today E+R, lots of love."

Ruth told fans on Thursday that she was "distraught" after she received the shock news last Monday that her elder sister Julia had died.

Devastated Ruth has cancelled all TV appearances until further notice with friends saying that she is too upset to return to work.

Writing on social media, Ruth said: "My lovely sis Julia has sadly died after a very long illness. My heart is completely broken.

"She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever. As I am sure you will appreciate I need to take time to grieve with my family. Thank you for your understanding."

Rylan Clark-Neal stepped in for Ruth to present This Morning on Friday as she took time off to grieve.

The 30-year-old presenter comforted Eamonn as he explained Ruth's absence and became very choked up.

Before Rylan took over, Eamonn said: "Before we get underway let me explain why it is Rylan and myself today. You may be aware of the terrible bereavement Ruth had yesterday."
