Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford melts viewers’ hearts as his baby son returns to show

Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford melted viewers' hearts on Friday's episode as his baby son sweetly returned to the show.

As the episode started, it saw Pete, 26, doting over his baby son, who he revealed on 12 November is called Jimmy, as he fed him a bottle of milk while sitting on the sofa with his sister Sophie.

The brother and sister duo, who have become Gogglebox favourites, then sweetly praised baby Jimmy for being "clever" and a "good lad" after his feed.

It comes after Pete first introduced his son to the public while appearing on Gogglebox earlier this year in September.

Viewers couldn't get over the heartwarming scenes as they took to Twitter to praise Pete for being a "natural" and "good dad".

One person said: "Aww Pete and his baby boy #Gogglebox," followed by a heart emoji.

A different account put: "Pete's son is adorable #Gogglebox #gogglebox #GoggleboxFriday."

Another follower commented: "Kudos to Pete. Shout out to all the good Dads #Gogglebox."

A different show watcher penned: "Aw Pete you look so natural #gogglebox."

While another fan added: "Aww Pete’s baby is too cute #Gogglebox."

It comes after Pete introduced his baby son on his social media page earlier on Friday, revealing his name for the first time.

The new dad posted a photo of himself holding his son while smiling into the camera but the baby was not looking quite as pleased.

Pete was celebrating his own birthday as he captioned the snap: "Jimmy wishing his daddy a happy birthday."

He also tagged his wife Paige and sister Sophie, who he stars alongside on the popular show.

Fans and friends rushed to wish the TV star a happy birthday as well as his famous great uncle Paul Chuckle saying: "Fancy frightening little Jimmy on your birthday… Happy birthday mate have a good un x"

Pete first revealed the happy news of the arrival of his son and his marriage at the National Television Awards earlier this year.

He mentioned that him and his wife Paige enjoyed a private wedding.

At the time he told OK!: "I'm buzzing [to be at the NTAs] as I got a full night's sleep in a hotel so I'm well happy."

He went on to say that being a dad is "tiring" and the lack of sleep he was getting was "definitely worth it".

Pete added: "He's basically a miniature version of me and Paige and that's what I always wanted so I feel well lucky."

The star first revealed that his wife was expecting a baby back in April when he handed his sister Sophie a picture of an ultrasound while on Gogglebox.

Sophie held the picture up to her face and asked: "My niece or nephew. Does it look like me?"

But Pete joked: "No, it's going to be good looking. Hopefully it looks like Paige."
