Helen Flanagan praised as she breastfeeds baby Charlie in middle of swanky restaurant wearing pretty wrap dress

HELEN Flanagan has been praised as she breastfed baby Charlie in the middle of a swanky restaurant.

The actress – who is most well-known for her portrayal of Rosie Webster on Coronation Street – welcomed the tot into the world back in March.

Since then the star, who is also mum to Matilda, six, and Delilah, three with her fiance Scott Sinclair, has kept fans up to date with her new journey into motherhood on Instagram.

Over the weekend the family of five enjoyed some quality time together at Stanley House Hotel & Spa in Mellor, Lancashire.

Helen looked amazing in a pink love heart patterned dress as she proudly breastfed her baby son in public and decided to document the moment with a photo.

She later took to Instagram to share the snap and captioned the post: "Love this picture of feeding my baby boy 🤱 feeding your baby is the most natural thing and so precious ✨💙."

Fans flocked to the comments section to applaud her sharing about something that can often receive a lot of backlash.

One wrote: "Such a great way to normalise breastfeeding, well done you 👏👏👏🙌."

A second said: "What a beautiful photo!"

A third wrote: "Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for showing support to breastfeeding ❤️👏."

A fourth chimed in: "This is such an amazing powerful shot!"

The positive comments are a breath of fresh air for Helen after being a victim of cruel mum-shamers who trolled her for having an incredible bikini body eight weeks after she gave birth.

The star posted a stunning snap of her in a bikini to her social media page, which led to some lashing out at her trim figure.

An insider went on to reveal how the Corrie favourite was "hurt" by the nasty comments, with some claiming she was making other mums feel bad about their own post-baby bodies.

The source shared: "Criticism is hard for Helen as she's openly admitted to being insecure and is very self-aware.

"The photo was a happy moment with her girls and she did feel content in her body.

"She got a lot of really lovely comments but the negative comments from mummy-shamers still crept in and they do hurt."

They went on to tell New magazine that Helen didn't post the snap to "brag" about her figure, she was just "embracing" the body that gave her her three children.

Helen has also been very open about the changes in her body since giving birth, which include her hormonal acne.

Most recently the soap star shared an unseen photo from baby Charlie’s birth as she pays tribute to her ‘role model’ fiancé Scott.

She posted the stunning black and white photo of son Charlie's birth on Instagram to mark Father's Day last month.

Helen captioned the post: "First one with Charlie. Couldn't wish for a better role model for our son @scotty_sinclair."

The couple – who have been together since 2009 – got engaged in 2018.

Although the pair adore their children they have ruled out having more.

Helen suffered with the extreme sickness condition Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) during her pregnancy with Charlie and she is not sure she could face doing it again.

She previously The Sun's Fabulous magazine: "I always really wanted four children, but after the Hyperemesis this time, I could never go through it again. So the decision about having more children after this one has been taken out of my hands, really.

"It’s funny, I always thought if I knew I was carrying my last baby I would feel really sad about it, but because of what happened, I don’t see it like that. I see it as a positive decision and one I’m completely happy with.”
