I’m A Celeb’s Giovanna Fletcher will win series after showing she’s ‘relatable and real’, says brother Mario Falcone

SHE'S a best-selling author with a hit podcast – and I'm A Celebrity's Giovanna Fletcher will soon be crowned Queen of the Castle, according to her brother Mario Falcone.

The former Towie star, 32, is backing his big sister, 35, to win over viewers and be the last person standing after 20 days of torturous trials and minimal food.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Mario says: “I can see her winning. People love Giovanna because of how relatable she is as a mum, and she’s very real.

"There is so much to Giovanna that people haven’t seen that will make people love her even more. I think she’s got a very good chance of getting to the end.

"She is a very strong woman, there is not much that will faze her."

Most campmates usually have nightmares about being covered in creepy crawlies, locked in confined spaces and eating stomach-churning critters.

But Mario believes Giovanna's biggest challenge will be spending time away from her three young sons Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two.

The multi-talented mum, whose podcast Happy Mum Happy baby has featured Kate Middleton as a guest, will leave the boys with her McFly singer husband, Tom Fletcher, during her time in Wales.

He says: "That will be the hardest part for her. She loves her boys more than anything in the world.

"That will really make her struggle, but she will find warmth in knowing that they will be watching and they are at an age where they understand.

"They will love watching mummy on TV and they will know that they will be cheering her on and she will do them proud.”

Mario has first-hand experience of his sister's toughness having joined her on a trek in Oman in 2017 to raise money for a breast cancer charity Coppafeel.

While Giovanna didn't know it at the time, the trip might have been the perfect preparation for her time on I'm A Celeb, as it featured a bug-eating game.

“She was the team leader, and I was the team leader, and we had to do an eating challenge on the last night with gross insects, and she beat me," laughs Mario.

"I don’t think the eating thing will be a problem. She’s quite strong-minded and competitive."

So does Giovanna have any weaknesses at all? Well there might just be one chink in her armour.

Mario says: "The only thing she might struggle with is the height stuff, as she’s quite scared of heights."

In the past, I'm A Celeb has featured explosive fallouts and dramatic camp clashes.

But Mario doesn't expect there to be any fireworks between his sister and her fellow celebs, who include Corrie's Beverly Callard, athlete Sir Mo Farah and EastEnders' Shane Richie.

“She won’t clash with anyone, she’s not like me," laughs Mario. "She will get on with anyone.

"If anyone has any animosity with Giovanna, she will just remove herself. She doesn’t like conflict. She’s quite a sensitive soul."

One thing that is for certain is the support she will get from her family.

"I’m going to be proud," gushes Mario. "I’ve been part of Giovanna’s journey; from her being Tom’s partner to now being Giovanna Fletcher who has achieved so many amazing things from her career and charity. She has always taken it a step further.

"There is no one in my mind that is deserving of the opportunity. I am exceptionally proud, and as a family we will be supporting her every step of the way.”
