Netflix series Ozark continues to keep viewers gripped after the third outing launched recently. Season three saw Marty Byrde (played by Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) coming face-to-face with their boss, who had previously been an unknown figure to them. Season two saw Mexican cartel leader Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) acting through his hard-nosed attorney Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer) as she carried out his dirty work – but this isn’t the case now.

Navarro finally made himself known and communicated with Marty and Wendy throughout the course of season three.
Additionally, his henchmen kidnapped Marty and tortured him with the drug lord having conversations with the financial advisor as he rotted away in an underground cell.
There were also some shocking scenes in Mexico after the drug war turned nasty and Navarro saw his girlfriend and friends massacred during his son’s christening.
Navarro and Wendy’s interactions were fascinating as she tried and failed to ingratiate herself with the mobster, even sacrificing her brother Ben Davis (Tom Pelphrey) in the process.

Perhaps Navarro’s biggest moment came in the season three finale after he ordered Marty, Wendy and Helen to fly to Mexico for a second christening ceremony.
Shortly before the trio were about to go into the church, Helen was shot dead right in front of the Byrde family.
The brutal and bloody killing was a stark warning to the couple with Navarro going on to embrace the pair as they reeled in shock.
Given the closing scene, Navarro is going to become a huge presence in the Byrdes’ lives going forward as he deals directly with them having quite literally cut out the middle-man.
Who plays cartel boss Omar Navarro in Ozark?
American actor, director and producer Felix Solis portrays the terrifying mafia don Omar Navarro in Ozark.
The multi-talented star hails from the Upper West Side of New York City to Puerto Rican parents.
He fell in love with theatre at an early age after his mother enrolled him in an after-school programme, which involved drama and improv.
Solis’ official site states he wanted to pursue acting from the age of nine and went on to attend Marymount Manhattan College for a BFA in Theatre Arts.
