Fans of Strictly Come Dancing have shared their rage after the winner of the Christmas Day special was leaked.

The show that is broadcast later this evening was filmed in advance so that the celebrities can still enjoy their Christmas with their loved ones.

However, just several hours before taking to the airwaves, the winner was shared on Twitter sparking outrage amongst the dedicated Strictly fanbase.

The Daily Star has chosen not to reveal the identity of the celeb who lifted the famous Glitterball Trophy.

Taking part in the festive special were broadcaster Adrian Chiles, TV favourite Fred Sirieix, singer Anne-Marie, The Repair Shop's Jay Blades, Mel Giedroyc and legendary news anchor Moira Stuart.

Instantly flooding to Twitter, one fan fumed: "Not really a surprise."

"We all knew they would win as soon as they were announced," said another.

Before a third tweeted: "Thanks, thought they would win. I will watch it though."

Former The One Show presenter Adrian Chiles revealed to BBC bosses that he would not be having a spray tan despite the celebrities usually having one.

The star admitted: "I've been asked twice if I want a fake tan and twice I've refused.

"My outfit isn't really glittery and it's very comfortable, I might take it home with me.

"I got these new dancing shoes and they're almost completely knackered already, in only 10 days!"

His mood didn’t change when his family begged him not to do the show as they feared he would be terrible.

He added: "They were absolutely, to a man and woman, horrified! Even though my mum's a massive fan of the show she said, 'Oh God!'

"After one day of training, I was like a drowning man clinging on to a bit of driftwood."

And even his dance partner Jowita Przystal realised she might have to take extra steps to stop him from looking so grumpy all the time.

She said: "I think I would buy him a face mask with a smile on it as it might encourage him to smile more."

Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special airs tonight at 5.10 on BBC One.
